Once again, the Normal West Wildcats open the season against Champaign Central.  Last year, West took and early lead in the first quarter, but behind running back Denzel Stewart, the Maroons prevailed 30-10.

Stewart returns this year for his senior season.  As a Junior, he rushed for over 1,500 yards leading Central to a 5-4 record and a playoff appearance.  Those efforts have already earned him one scholarship offer from ISU.  Controlling this running attack will be the key to the game.
