West Drops Opener 28-23 to Champaign Central

Jamarr Simon rushed for 100 yards on 11 carries and scored two touchdowns, but the Wildcats could not overcome Central\'s second half ball control offense as the Maroons defeated the Wildcats 28-23 on Friday night.  West quarterback Tyler Marcordes was 5-10 passing including a touchdown pass to Austin Stewart.  Stewart also had an interception for the Wildcats.
